Next week sees us taking Cotch to the Columbian and it's gonna be nuuuuuutssss. This is the first in a series of gigs where we take some of the best nights in Rye Wax and open 'em up to a bigger crowd, let them flex out of the basement for a change. For Cotch, that means bringing Jam City along for his DEBUT show as DJC, so expect nothing but the best future rhythms from the Club Constructions man. The Born n Bread girls will be there to lend a dose of the flavour for you on the night along with Manchester's DJ Florentino, and with connections to Columbia himself, we thought we'd ask the Swing Ting member for a few of his favourite Jams from South America.
Hope you're ready for some double speed Reggaeton.
Carajo Que Detalle SrH El Habano - Dj Bekman
"This was my go to track for starting sets over the summer. "
El Chavo Del 8 ( A LO DOBLE PASO ) - DJMario 2016
"Remember playing this the 1st time i played at Swing Ting. Insane track."
DJ Nelson - Eres Un Loco
"You hear that missy melody sampled alot in Reggaeton & Perreo tracks, this is still my favourite interpretation. Another track that i feel has informed my sound in some way."
Dj Kelvin "El Sacamostro" & Dj Dicky_El Doble Paso
"Another double time thing. Those drums are undeniably hard. "
Hector El Father ft. Yomo - Dejale caer to' el peso (Instrumental Remake by Alexandro Diaz DJ)
"A remake that sounds better than the actual thing. The original instrumental is from an era of Reggaeton that my sound is heavily informed by."
