"...And so Radleu had led us to to the outer limits of the Galactic swirl. What waited for us there was a civilisation embattled with a tyrannical ruling elite, exerting their control over the cluster of systems through galactic propaganda and ruthless divisions of their Interstellar-Special-Initiate-Squadrons. Radleu tells us of the resistance force, the Co-Operative Territories Counter Hegemony Force - a band of fearless mech pilots funded by a splintered resistance force who's sole aim is to disrupt the ruling elite and return the systems to the ordinary citizen. We have met...COTCH INTERNATIONAL!"

~~~
Cotch has become as much a part of Rye Wax as the rug on the dancefloor. It's run by staff member Joe Howard along with MC and BRTSH Knights collaborator ASBO ( this guy called Clive Fletcher lends a hand also...) and the crowds inside can attest it has become a pretty essential night in the calendar for anyone looking for the freshest underground heat. In anticipation of the new label Cotch International, Here is what Cotch had to say in their own words. This mix bangs. Have a good weekend.
"From it’s very earliest stages, Cotch has been about unifying and celebrating new evolutions in international music culture. The artists we find most interesting are the ones that operate between genres, weaving through the cracks and making music that is as heartfelt and raw as it is innovative. We have no time for purism or elitism. Spend 10 minutes outside in Peckham, our long-time home, you’ll be exposed to music from every corner of the globe, from Afrobeats to Bashment to Rap and Grime, and we wanted to offer a platform for those sounds to exist in Rye Wax, and to give local talent a place to experiment and grow, while at the same time reaching out to kindred spirits across the globe.
This mix is a representation of the vibes we’ve been setting as we reach the 1 year mark of the Cotch shows, and includes a stack of tunes that have consistently got love in the dance. It also includes premiers of the first release of our record label, Cotch International, from Cape Town resident Jumping Back Slash, and featuring the vocals of super-talented Hlasko and Nonku Phiri."
